DISSECTING AND DIAGNOSING THE EYE
Determining the function and disfunction of vision
In this lab, students will be briefed on the anatomy and physiology of the eye before diving in to the dissection of a cow's eyeball. Students will label and view the different parts of the eye, applying their knowledge of the eye's anatomy.
After the dissection, students will participate in several hands on eye exams that address different eye disorders. Students will learn how to diagnose astigmatisms, visual acuity, visual accommodation, color blindness, depth perception impairments, and near point degeneration. This is a very fun lab that kids really enjoy!
