In this lab, kids will make agar in petri dishes to culture their own bacteria. When the agar is set, students will practice proper aseptic technique and gather bacterial samples around the house. Which area do you think will have the most bacteria? They will put their samples in the petri dishes and watch over the course of 24 hours as the bacteria grow and multiply. This lab (with adult supervision) is fun for all ages!
